Possibly the loudest gig in Leeds is happening this week. We are supporting the mighty Truckfighters with the fantastic Black Moth at the Library Pub, Thursday the 5th April. Absolutely cannot wait for this one. Advance tickets are sold out so get down early to be sure you get in. Guaranteed to feature more fuzz than you can shake a stick at. This event comes to you courtesy of Destroy All Monsters and Big Spaceship. I think this video explains everything…

Freakout!!!
Posted by Chris

Yeah, Yeah, YEAH!!!

It’s that time again. Freakout!!! is the most important event in the Buffalo calendar and it’s looming. This Saturday the 10th March. For goodness sake don’t plan on doing anything on Sunday because I’m not sure your body will have recovered from the calamities this fabled night is bound to hold.

Bands on the bill are… Just Handshakes (We’re British), Los Pecadores, La Machine, Galaxians, tenBennys with DJ Dirty Chef, Gold Frank with DJ Kid Midas

We will be doing our usual thing of giving out drinks, playing surprise songs and generally making fools of ourselves. Even we don’t know whats going to happen… anyways… here is the facebook event!

If we have recovered in time we will be shooting down to London on Monday the 12th to play Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. Other bands on that night are Ice Sea Dead People and Havalina Heat. Very much looking forward to this one. It’s a new night called DEBASER with Rob(himshelf) and good friends La Machine playing some records. What more could you want London? It’s called DEBASER! Get yourself on the cheap list.

We are also super pleased to say on April 5th we are playing the Library pub, Leeds with the legendary Truck Fighters and Black Moth. This heavy line up has been smashed together by Destroy All Monsters. Clickonthisevent!

Sheeeeiit, We’ve somehow had time to finish off some new recordings. Have a listen to My Mistake to get you in the mood for all these shindigs. More (secret) plans to be hatched soon!

Over and out…

Hi Hi Hi

This Thursday the 27th October we are playing The Brudenell Social Club with The Lucid Dream and Dead Sons. Event Event Event! Tickets are a mere £5. Pick them up from Crash, Jumbo or us.

To get you in the mood we are changing our free download. As of today you can receive a recording of ‘Reaction (Basement Demo)’. Click the button and enjoy yourself!

Robhimshelf presents:

THE LUCID DREAM

Since forming in 2008 this group have spread their psychedelic music far beyond the confines of their native Carlisle. Quickly catching the attention of Dead Young Records, their track ‘I Got The Devil’ featured on the first Dead Young Club 10” compilation record in 2008. More recent achievements include a tour with Spectrum (the latest band from Pete Kember of Spacemen 3), and a remix from Richard Norris aka The Time And Space Machine for their latest single ‘Love In My Veins. Definitely one to check out for psych fans!

As God Is In The TV says: “Their reputation as a fantastic live band has been greatly enhanced by recent support slots with the likes of Spectrum, The Aliens and Crocodiles, as well as back-to-back appearances at Kendal Calling festival.”

“jangly psychedelia, listeners tip of the week” – Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 2

“‘Love In My Veins’ is a heady and glorious psychedelic nugget” – Rough Trade

“Reverb-drenched majesty. Listening to it makes the last 20 years just seem like a bad dream” – The Fly

DEAD SONS

This Sheffield based 5 piece rock band use keys and extra percussion to create a big sound likened to “The Dead Weather, Grinderman and Ennio Morricone having a musical duel in the middle of a street fight”. After self releasing a couple of white label 7”s and putting out some free downloads they caught the attention of the Sheffield music scene which recently led to their biggest shows to date supporting the Arctic Monkeys at the Don Valley Bowl, and a club NME show at the end of July. Come October there will be a new EP to check out too, recorded by Ross Orton (The Kills, Jarvis Cocker) and released on Crystal Ship Records.

“A big fat stomp through psychedelia and desert rock” – DiS.
